The Cure sing “It’s Friday I’m in Love.” What are you “in” on this particular fall Friday?
Mixed feelings. But generally, I am in a good mood. I'm excited about the fund raising and donating. I'm not really wanting to go to work. But it's Friday. And Friday's are almost always good.
Why not both?
I was having the worst time recently trying to decide whether I wanted to dedicate myself to the world of cinema or community service... until it suddenly hit me I could do both. While I do think that everyone has a responsibility to their community, I understand the lack of time many people feel they have. I work at two different places and go to school and even I wonder how I am able to find time to do this (much less sleep). I just hope the time lack does not become my excuse.
World,
Here I come.

La Belle et la Bête, 1946
(the beauty and the beast)
director: Jean Cocteau
The first time I saw this movie was on television on the channel TCM. I didn't really have anything better to do and subsequently decided to sit down and watch all 96 minutes of it. I sat in awe. All black and white, this certainly was not Walt Disney's version. The actors were real, the costumes were real. The simple editing techniques used in the film looked like art. This movie is perfect (even with the boom visible in one or two scenes) and is a movie that everyone should see at least once.
A. Art
B. Erotica
C. Pornography
*Pornography is defined as sexually oriented material that is not considered acceptable to the viewer; the same material when judged subjectively acceptable is referred to as "erotica."
The A folk are widely accepting of nudity, the B folk are accepting of it, and the C folk are not accepting of nudity
What is nudity? What is (or isn't) so bad about it? What do you feel about it? Do you consider it to be Art, Erotica, or Pornography?
What would you attempt to do if you knew you wouldn't fail?

Become the most influential person that this earth has ever had.
So, awhile back the US government spent $700,000,000,000 on a bailout-turned-rescue that has not done much of anything...
Why isn't the US government taking advantage of the situation for the better?
With the current administration leaving, and a new administration soon taking over, President-elect Obama can push his green technology agenda even further: if a company wants a bailout, they can get it, so long as they invest one-third of it into green technology. Whether it is GM using $1billion to create greener and cleaner cars or a bank cutting paper consumption and turning their buildings into completely solar powered, the possibilities are endless. And it will give American's a chance to display this inginuity that they seem to possess.
Yes? No? Good Idea? Illogical?
Let's get thinking again.
